Disney Dream

Launched in 2011, Disney Dream is the third cruise ship which is operated by Disney Cruises. This ultimate fun cruise ship has a capacity for up to 4,000 passengers and 1,458 crew members. A theme park on the water, the exclusive ship boasts an unique water coaster and numerous other fun kids activities, plus an extensive choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. Disney Dream is the third longest cruise ship in the world. The unique ship plays various Disney tunes through it’s horn when it arrives and leaves ports.

Activities On-Board Disney Dream

This floating theme park is a haven for children and adults alike, with fun activities for the whole family to join in with. 3 exciting pools offer various fun features for hours of splashing fun, with Mickey’s Slide and the amazing ‘Aqua Duck’ which is a 765 foot long twisting slide that covers the whole ship and is the first water coaster at sea. Other activities include a 9 hole mini-golf, digital sports simulators and a full sized basket ball pitch which is also used for various other sports, including soccer, volley ball and table tennis. Two other smaller courts are also available for various sporting activities for fun for the whole family. There is also an adults only pool called The Quiet Cove Pool with hot tubs and bar.

Kids of all ages will love both the Walt Disney Theatre and the Outdoor Movie screen, opposite Donald’s pool. The Walt Disney Theatre hosts regular broad-way style shows, pantomimes and Disney movies. Disney Dream has three Kids Club to provide for all ages, The Oceaneer Club is a large supervised play area for kids between 3-10 years with games and other activities to stimulate and amuse little ones. Older kids will love The Edge play area which is specifically designed for children between 11-13 years old with video games, acting and other fun activities throughout the day. For children over 13 years old, the Vibe Youth Club offers a funky area where teenagers can hang out with friends and take part in numerous fun activities including video games, Disc Jockeying and sporting options. The Vibe teen area has 2 pools and a smoothie bar just for young adults to chill out.

Dining and Drinking On-Board Disney Dream

Disney Dream has numerous restaurants, cafes, lounges, bars and clubs for both families and adult only bars and clubs for late night entertainment. Passengers can choose from 3 themed dining rooms, 2 specialty adult-only restaurants, buffet, cafes and numerous snack bars for freshly cooked burgers, hot-dogs, pies, kebabs, pizza and much more. Whatever time of the day or night, passengers will always be able to get wide selection of food on-board Disney Dream. All guests on a Disney Dream cruise use the rotational dining system which gets passengers to use a different themed restaurant each night, which is a great way to try a varied selection of dishes and experience the different restaurants.

Disney Dream has 11 different themed nightclubs, bars and lounges offering a host of entertainment each evening. Some of the clubs are specifically designed for family entertainment, whilst others are adults only with various shows and live music on offer until late at night.
