Built in 1993 for Crown Cruise Line, The Braemar Cruise Ship has exchanged owners and names numerous times. In 2001, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines bought the ship and renamed her Braemar. In 2009, Braemar was extended and refurbished with extra cabins, swimming pools, new restaurant and improved, modernised lounge spaces. A popular ship with passengers of all ages, The Braemar has a capacity for 900 passengers. The mid sized ship has large windows, stylish decor and comfortable furniture to provide the ultimate luxurious travel for guests. Based in Dover, The Braemar offers cruises to many destinations for either 7 days, 14 days or month long cruises.

Eating And Drinking On-board Braemar
Guests will be spoilt for choice with the numerous bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from on-board Braemar. The main restaurant, The Thistle is situated on Deck 4 and provide a wide range of cuisines every day. The new Grampion restaurant was added when the ship was extended and offers a luxurious environment to dine in style and comfort. For more informal dining, passengers can visit the Palms Cafe which has a buffet style service and offers free tea and coffee throughout the day. Freshly cooked snacks and drinks are available every day at the Marquee Pool Bar with helpful, friendly staff always on hand to ensure your stay is thoroughly enjoyable.
Entertainment – Night And Day
With a card room, arts and crafts room, library, internet room, golfing area, sun deck and heated swimming pools guests will have plenty of activities to keep them entertained during the day. A stunning promenade around the large deck area allows guests to take a nice stroll or jog (for the more energetic!) for some beautiful views, great to watch the sun set over the horizon. Take advantage of the duty free shopping with a visit to The Boutique and stunning Jewelry shop which offers various stunning gold and silver pieces.
Fred Olsen Cruises are renowned for their first class entertainment and Braemar Cruise Ship is no exception. With nightly shows, cabarets, live music, dancing and much more, there is always something different to see every night. The Neptune lounge is the main show lounge with a stage and dance floor for cabarets and comedy shows. During the day, the lounge is often used for lectures and conferences. The Morning Light Pub, behind the Neptune lounge is a cozy and intimate pub which is great place to relax and socialise with friends. Both the Coral Club and Skylark Club are additional lounges which are used for regular shows and cabarets.
