The P&O Azura cruise ship is well known for its family friendly nature and the fact it is the largest cruise ship from P&O which means there are countless facilities to enjoy, a fine choice of restaurants, accommodation and of course the evening entertainment and schedule of daily activities.

Azura
When you board the Azura you will find most of the activity centres around the three deck atrium where you will easily find all of the public spaces such as the cafes, galleries and shopping destinations. You will not be left short of things to see and do around the atrium for the duration of your cruise. Entertainment wise there is something to cover all tastes such as comedy, a theatre and live music acts.
If you are intending on cruising towards warmer climates such as the carribean you will be happy to know that the Azura takes advantage of the warm, sunny weather by having lots of open air facilities on the ship rather than having everything undercover. Such facilities include the open air cinema, the swimming pools and the terrace of the spa where you can receive massages and other treatments whilst taking in the beautiful sea views.
Dining on board the Azura ship is suitably spectacular and the fact it is P&O’s largest cruise ship of course means that there is one of the biggest choice of eateries available compared to some of the other P&O cruise ships. The choice of restaurants, cafes and bars cover a range of tastes and these include three main restaurants and further additional restaurants which cover fine dining options and of course the obligatory restaurant brought to you by a celebrity chef however, Azura has two, one a steak and seafood grill from Olly Smith and Sindhu which is an Indian restaurant which guarantees five star food thanks to Atul Kockhar, a Michelin starred chef.
There is a wide choice of accommodation available on the P&O Azura covers all potential requirements from cabins to the suites. The standard cabins include singles, inside, outside and cabins of increased sizes with further upgrades if you wish to have the facilities that come with balcony cabins.
P&O Azura,
I have now had 2 cruises on the Azura both of which have been a great experience and I am looking forward to booking a third. The choice of food, all of which was tasty and great quality meant there was plenty of opportunities to try something different every day. The choice of activities available followed a similar theme with a huge variety for all tastes. My first cruise had a lot of sailing time between the ports but this was barely noticed as there is so much to spend your time on when you are on the Azura. If I could give P&O one piece of advice it would be to upgrade the quality of the orange juice. I would really like to start the day with some freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast!
My first cruise was on the Azura ship in 2012 and I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of space that was on offer in combination with all of the modern fixtures and fittings I would have easily forgotten I was on a ship if it wasn’t for the breath-taking views which make it difficult not to stand and admire so I took advantage of a treatment in the spa which can easily be considered as one of the best spas visits I have ever experienced.
